Fuengirola is a popular family holiday resort on the Costa del Sol. Has seven kilometres of beautiful promenade; the Paseo Maritimo is one of the longest in Spain.
Has 72,000 inhabitants, a lot of them from other countries: England, Finland and Sweden, and also from Argentina or Italy. In the summer, the english community is the largest.

Fuengirola Sohail Castle is the town's symbol; there you can enjoy an wonderful view over Fuengirola and the Mediterranean sea. Its is a roman castle, and was restored in the 10th under the Moorish reign of Andalusia.
