Carratraca is located north of the province of Malaga in the region of Guadalteba in the Guadalhorce Valley, in the Sierra Blanquilla, part of the Serrania de Ronda. The region is composed of the following municipalities: Almargen, Ardales, Campillos, Cañete la Real, Carratraca, Cuevas del Becerro, Sierra de Yeguas and Teba.
